Introducing the Verisafe VoC Framework

The Verisafe VoC Framework has now been established by the resources sector to deliver an agreed and consistent process for companies to fulfil their duty of care by ensuring workers have the necessary experience, skills and/or competency to safely complete work tasks.

The Verisafe VoC Framework has been developed with the following objectives.

Increase safety within the resources sector

Verify HRWL holder’s current competency

Assess HRWL holder’s under work conditions

Increase industry confidence in the VoC process

Provide mutual recognition within the industry

Improve efficiency

The Verisafe framework is administered by the Chamber of Minerals and Energy (CME) with the following structure:

Governance & Working Groups

Industry members who are responsible for the development, management and continuous improvement of the Framework.

Subject matter experts

Provide specialised advice to maintain the quality and relevance of assessment tools.

Approved assessors

Highly qualified and experienced assessors recognised and nominated by participating companies.

Agreed VoC assessments

Theory and practical assessments under work conditions and mapped to industry and regulatory requirements.

QA audits

Robust internal and external audits to ensure Framework integrity and currency are maintained.

Use of the Framework is facilitated by a simple online application that provides all the tools and information to undertake the VoC process. The secure and centralised database stores all VoC assessment records and results and enables employers to share VoC outcomes with a hiring client to improve mobilisation efficiency.

Member Organisations

Verisafe is owned by industry member companies and administered by the Chamber of Minerals and Energy (CME) for the benefit of the industry, providing value to operators, contractors, assessors and workforce.
